Dr. Jean McCrossan is excited to join the Scheier Dental Group and is committed to providing exceptional care and treatment. Dr. McCrossan is a General Dentist who takes a comprehensive and integrative approach to patient care. With her warm personality, gentle touch, and compassionate care, Dr. McCrossan provides a comfortable, stress-free environment that fosters lasting relationships with her patients.
Dr. McCrossan was born and raised in South Orange, NJ. She earned her BA in Pre-Medical studies and Studio Art at The College of the Holy Cross. She went on to receive her Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2008. As a student, she was a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, and upon graduation, she was honored with the coveted Dr. Irwin Quinn Memorial Award for “empathy, professionalism, management skills, and scientific knowledge while caring for her patients.”
Following dental school, she was selected as the Chief Resident at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where she completed an extensive dental residency program. Upon completion of the program, she was named Resident of the Year. Dr. McCrossan is regularly engaged in continuing education programs to stay current with dentistry’s evolving techniques and technologies.
Dr. McCrossan enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She enjoys traveling, art and cooking.
